Entre rythmiques organiques originales teintées de sonorités du monde et groove basse-batterie lourd et hypnotique, la musique de Moja est une invitation au voyage, puisant son inspiration aux sources du Reggae/Dub tout en naviguant sur les rivages de la Soul et de la World Music.

Magnifié par la voix puissante et envoûtante de sa chanteuse Mamatya, le message porté par Moja est celui d’un engagement sincère pour des valeurs humanistes et universelles, à travers des textes et des mélodies qui, tels des mantras, font entrer en résonance l’âme et le corps.

Deux ans après ONE, leur premier album très prometteur plébiscité par la presse Reggae, MOJA revient au printemps 2020 avec HOME, un EP attendu, invitant l’auditeur dans une vibration hypnotique, empreinte de sonorités modernes.

Surprenant, captivant, universel... “Home” ouvre un nouveau chapitre d’un groupe et d’une chanteuse qui s'aventurent bien au-delà des codes du Reggae. Six pépites écrites en collaboration avec Flox, composées et arrangées aux côtés de Tamal, véritable orfèvre musical, qui raviront à n’en pas douter les amateurs de voyages sonores intenses et authentiques. Une connexion évidente dès les premières notes de “Tightrope Walker”, le premier single dévoilé par Moja, où la présence du célèbre violoniste indien Sukhdev Prasad Mishra et les arrangements d’une grande finesse, annoncent le virage “World” du groupe.

Alliant l’intensité du Reggae à la splendeur des musiques sacrées, “Home” est un appel au voyage, qu’il soit physique ou spirituel, où se mêlent dans un mariage réussi sonorités digitales et mélodies indiennes mais aussi instruments atypiques comme le handpan. Tel un instrument, la voix de Mamatya se pose sur des textes puissants et inspirés, magnifiés par des arrangements d’une grande finesse.

Avec “Home”, Moja affirme son authenticité sur la nouvelle scène Reggae française, avec des compositions aux multiples facettes qui touchent au coeur et nourrissent l’âme, avec sincérité et féminité.

Après un premier EP, “Back to Roots” (sorti en octobre 2015 et finaliste de la catégorie “Révélations de l'année” des Victoires du Reggae 2016), MOJA sort en avril 2018 son premier album intitulé “ONE” et affirme son identité unique et authentique dans le paysage reggae français.

Enregistré et mixé par Gabriel Bouillon (Ligerians) au SoulNurse Studio (Tours), et masterisé par Pilah, cet album est un voyage introspectif et conscient, un appel à l’unité, exprimé à travers la profondeur d'un reggae roots et percutant sur lequel se pose la voix de Mamatya.

Between original organic rhythms tinged with sounds of the world and heavy and hypnotic bass-drum groove, Moja's music is an invitation to travel, drawing its inspiration from the sources of Reggae / Dub while navigating the shores of Soul and World Music.

Magnified by the powerful and haunting voice of her singer Mamatya, the message conveyed by Moja is that of a sincere commitment to humanist and universal values, through texts and melodies which, like mantras, resonate the soul and body.

Two years after ONE, their very promising debut album acclaimed by the Reggae press, MOJA returns in spring 2020 with HOME, an expected EP, inviting the listener into a hypnotic vibration, imbued with modern sounds.

Surprising, captivating, universal ... "Home" opens a new chapter of a group and a singer who venture far beyond the codes of Reggae. Six nuggets written in collaboration with Flox, composed and arranged alongside Tamal, a true musical goldsmith, which will undoubtedly delight lovers of intense and authentic sound journeys. An obvious connection from the first notes of "Tightrope Walker", the first single unveiled by Moja, where the presence of the famous Indian violinist Sukhdev Prasad Mishra and the arrangements of great finesse, herald the "World" turn of the group.

Combining the intensity of Reggae with the splendor of sacred music, "Home" is a call to travel, whether physical or spiritual, where digital sounds and Indian melodies mingle in a successful marriage, but also atypical instruments such as the handpan. Like an instrument, Mamatya's voice settles on powerful and inspired texts, magnified by arrangements of great finesse.

With "Home", Moja asserts her authenticity on the new French Reggae scene, with multifaceted compositions that touch the heart and nourish the soul, with sincerity and femininity.

In 2015 the band released its first EP “Back To Roots”, announced among the “revelations of the year” of the Reggae Victories 2016 (by reggae.fr).

In April 2018 MOJA released its first album “ONE” (auto-produced and with the help of the fans), and affirm its identity on the french reggae music scene.

Recorded and mixed by Gabriel Bouillon ( from The Ligerians) at SoulNurse Studio (Tours, France), and masterised by Pilah, this album is an introspective and conscious journey, a call to unity, expressed through the depth of a roots and percussive reggae, and the sweet and powerfull voice of Mamatya.
